    Gwinnett Braves Baseball

The Gwinnett Braves are the Triple-A International League affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.  The 2013 season marks the fifth year since the franchise moved from its former Richmond, VA home – the team’s location for more than 40 years – into its current home at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA.    Since the Inaugural Year of 2009, the Gwinnett Braves have reached the International League playoffs, produced three-straight IL Rookies of the Year (Freddie Freeman in 2010, Julio Teheran in 2011 and Ernesto Mejia in 2012), two IL Batting Champions (Barbaro Canizares in 2010 and Jose Constanza in 2012) and an IL Most Valuable Pitcher (Teheran, 2011).  Many of today’s key Atlanta Braves players, from Freeman and Jason Heyward to Kris Medlen and Craig Kimbrel, passed through Gwinnett on their way to the Major Leagues.  Over 1.4 million fans have come to Coolray Field to watch the G-Braves since 2009.   The Gwinnett Braves are celebrating their fifth season in several exciting ways in 2013.  A brand new “5-Pack” mini plan offers fans the chance to purchase tickets to five Alumni Bobblehead giveaway dates (the Bobblehead 5-Pack), five Post-Game Fireworks shows (the Fireworks 5-Pack), the five most popular games of the season (the Best 5 Games 5-Pack) and five afternoon games (the Silver Sluggers 5-Pack).  All 5-Pack plans can be purchased by calling 678-277-0340 or by visiting gwinnettbraves.com/5pack.   The Alumni Bobblehead Series will give fans the chance to collect the bobble-likenesses of five great former G-Braves, including Brandon Beachy (April 6), Freeman (May 18), Heyward (June 22), Medlen (July 6) and Kimbrel (August 10).  A full list of 2013 Promotions can be found under the “Tickets & Promotions” tab on gwinnettbraves.com.   First-year manager Randy Ready, a veteran of both Major League and Minor League Baseball, will lead the 2013 Gwinnett Braves for the first time on Thursday, April 4 at 7:05 PM against Charlotte.  Tickets can be purchased at the Coolray Field Box Office and by calling 678-277-0340.   Listen to all 144 Gwinnett Braves games on their radio home, WDUN 550-AM and 102.9-FM.  A total of 25 home games will also be broadcast on television on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS).  Follow the G-Braves at gwinnettbraves.com, facebook.com/GwinnettBraves1 and twitter.com/GwinnettBraves.
