Triple axels, slapshots and dismounts are just a few of the things happening at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Arena is the Southeast’s venue of choice for regional and national events, including the 2010, 2013 and 2014 SEC Women’s Basketball Championships, 2008 and 2012 SEC Gymnastics Championships, the 2009 NCAA Women’s Round I & II National basketball championships, the USA Senior Judo Open, Georgia High School State Wrestling and Basketball Championships, and many more. It’s also the home venue of the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators hockey team.

The Arena has been nationally recognized by Billboard and Pollstar magazines as their “Mid-Sized Venues of the Year” and has garnered acclaim for its clean architectural lines, superior customer service, fan-friendly layout and free parking.

The Arena can accommodate groups from 3,500 or up to 13,000 for a sporting event or concert. The beautifully landscaped environment, attractive architecture, superb sight lines and state-of-the-art lighting and acoustics guarantee an enjoyable event. The state-of-the-art house reduction system allows staff to scale back seating with the touch of a button.

It’s also the home venue of the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators professional hockey team, the minor league affiliate of the NHL Atlanta Thrashers. .

Gwinnett Center

The Gwinnett Center is one of Georgia’s most unique convention and event venues. Just 30 minutes north of Atlanta, our suburban locale provides an appealing and affordable alternative to downtown venues. Our modern and comfortable facility is an excellent choice for indoor sporting events, including gymnastics, cheerleading and Martial arts. The Center is comprised of a 50,000 sf Exhibit Hall, 21,600 sf Grand Ballroom, and 24 meeting rooms that can accommodate smaller meetings and break-out sessions. The Exhibit Hall has three unique partitions that can be configured to accommodate events requiring 10,000 to 50,000 sf of space. If you need an event office, hospitality room, dressing rooms, equipment room or other on-site space, we can meet those needs as well.

The Grand Ballroom meets the demand for additional exhibit and break-out space. The 7 salons and 10,000 sf of lakeside pre-function space can be configured from 1,800 to 20,000 sf. All meeting spaces have high-speed data lines for Internet access and video conferences.

This multi-purpose sports facility is unlike any other in metro Atlanta. The Suwanee Sports Academy has over 100,000 sf of space, including 7 NBA regulation basketball courts and 11 regulation volleyball courts, one of the largest number of private facility courts in the U.S. Entire national competitions are held under one roof, in a clean, safe, and climate controlled environment. With a full range of amenities, professional staffing, flexible space and plentiful spectator seating, the Suwanee Sports Academy is an ideal venue for regional and  national competitions.

Gwinnett County’s Parks and Recreation department was recently recognized by the National Parks Association as the #1 Parks and Recreation department in the U.S. Sports Illustrated named Gwinnett County as their “Sportstown for Georgia.”

These are just two reasons that numerous soccer, tennis, baseball and lacrosse events are choosing to host their events in  Gwinnett. Many of GCPR’s over 40 parks meet or exceed size regulations for both amateur events. With affordable rates, easy proximity to hotels and the complimentary assistance from the Gwinnett Sports Commission, GCPR’s facilities are a strong ingredient for your event’s success.

Road Atlanta is recognized as one the world’s best road courses. Our multi-purpose motor sports facility is situated on 750 park-like acres in the rolling hills of Northeast Georgia. Road Atlanta is located 35 miles north of Atlanta and is convenient to a number of hotels and restaurants.  The facility is utilized for a wide variety of events, including professional and amateur sports car and motorcycle races, racing and driving schools, corporate programs and testing for motorsports teams.
